Brooke Eden Serves Up Details About Being A Bartender

It's easy to forget that celebrities once had regular jobs.

Country star Brooke Eden, Cody Alan's 'Next Woman' artist for March, was once a bartender. The two roles do have a lot in common. Both positions require excellent time management, knowing how to work a crowd, keeping them entertained, and handling the pressure of being everyone's attention.

In a recent interview with Cody, Brooke shared how she went from working behind the bar to working the stage while someone else pours.

"I was bartending outside one day, there was a guitar player playing, and he was on break, and I had just served everyone at the bar," says the "No Shade" singer. "I was itching. I was itching to get to Nashville, and I just knew that I needed to save up money before I could go."

"So, I asked the guitar player, like, "Hey can I play for a little bit? He looked at me really funny and was like, "Yeah. Can you play?" and I was like, "Yeah!" So I got up and played," Brooke shares. "My manager came storming out, and I'm like, "Oh no! I am going to get in so much trouble right now."

"And, after I was done playing, [my manager] was like, "What are you doing here?" and I was like, "I know! I am sorry. Like, I just got everyone. No one is begging for a drink, I promise," laughs Brooke. "And, he goes, "No! Like, what are you doing bartending here? You need to move to Nashville!" And, I was like, "That's what I am trying to do!"

Brooke's talent for making a mean Mai Tai landed her the opportunity to make music in Nashville. The country star recently released a summertime country anthem that shows her most authentic self.
