It's not a surprise that super successful guitar prodigy Keith Urban has a huge collection of guitars.

But he always had his eyes set on Waylon Jennings' iconic 1950 Broadcaster. So, when it went up for auction, Keith was ready to swoop it up.

Little did he know, that his wife, Nicole Kidman, was behind the scenes making sure he didn't win the auction. Because SHE wanted to win it, so she could give it to him as a gift.

And apparently, she made Keith sweat thinking he lost the auction, only to surprise him a bit later.

Here's what Keith said about the famous guitar: "It was owned by Reggie Young, who is a great session player. Reggie was touring with The Highwaymen in the '90s. He told me the story that one day Waylon came in one day with this case and just said, 'Hoss, I want you to have that.'"

And then Reggie had it for another 20 years or so before putting it up for auction. Here's the best part. Keith said the reason Waylon gave it away in the first place was, quote, "It was too [effing] heavy."
