The cover art for Gwen Stefani's new album "Bouquet" has her in a cowboy hat. So that means she's going Country, right?
The album lands November 15th. But the first single called "Somebody Else's" hit late last week, and it's NOT a Country song. So, what gives?
"Rolling Stone" asked her point blank about the album, and she said no, "It's NOT a Country record." It has more of a '70s Pop-Rock vibe.
Quote, "It's all the stuff I listened to in the station wagon on the way to church. Yacht rock, though it wasn't called yacht rock then."
So, despite the hat, and the fact that she recorded the songs in Nashville, her fifth solo album won't be her first Country album. (Maybe her sixth?)
It does have at least one Country aspect to it though. The last song is "Purple Irises", her duet with hubby Blake Shelton.
