Back in April, a wedding band in Philadelphia called Jellyroll filed a lawsuit against Jelly Roll. They've been around since 1980, and they're billed as "Philly's favorite wedding band". But ever since the Country singer Jelly Roll came out, their Google search results have plummeted.
But in a court filing made this week, they announced that the lawsuit has been dropped.
The lead singer of the wedding band Jelly Roll wrote, "The dispute with Jason Bradley DeFord, a.k.a. Jelly Roll, has been resolved and the legal action has been withdrawn. We look forward to our continued use of the name Jellyroll Band, in connection with our party band business."
The court documents did not disclose whether or not there was a settlement that was reached, but you have to wonder, Why would the band just drop it for nothing? Seems like they got PAID.
And they get to keep their wedding band name? That's sounds like a good deal.
