A few weeks ago, we had the iHeartCountry World Premiere of the new Rand Travis song. Thanks to the use of A.I., this is Randy's first single in over a decade. He lost his ability to sing a while ago, so it gave all of us the chance to hear his voice again.
The internet seems split about this technology. Most think it's awesome that Randy was able to release a song again, but a lot also worry whether this opens up Pandora's box to shadier uses.
Luke Combs happens to be pretty much in that camp, too. When asked about his thoughts on A.I. and Randy's new song, he said, "I think that's about the best use case scenario for what it has the potential to do."
But he is also hesitant as well, saying, "I think it does open the door for, you know, some things that wouldn't be used in the best way, I was super excited to hear that. It sounds incredible. But it is a razor's edge, for sure."
