Is Country Big Now Because Today's Artists Are from the Mixtape Generation?

In a new interview with "Billboard", Charles Kelley from Lady A said country music might be soaring in popularity now, because today's artists are drawing inspiration from ALL genres.

He said, "We grew up in the playlist era, where you'd make a mixtape, and so I grew up loving everything.

"I feel like when we started our band, it was like a little bit of the Eagles, meets Fleetwood Mac, meets The Chicks, meets Rascal Flatts. It was everything coming together into this sound."
