It only took 100 years, but White Castle is finally being honored with its first beer...sort of.
The Evil Genius brewery out of Philadelphia set out to create a beer that would pair perfectly with White Castle burgers, "cutting through the satisfying taste of beef and savory onions."
The result is a limited-edition beer called "It Hits Different." It's a 6.5% ABV tangerine IPA offering "a subtle bitterness from its hop profile, countered with a pleasant, light tangerine sweetness."
It Hits Different was unveiled at the Evil Genius brewery last week . . . and they have already begun distribution.
The beer can be found in bars and restaurants and in stores as six-packs of cans. Unfortunately, you can't get it at White Castle, so you'll have to make another stop.
