Early Friday morning, you might see PLUMBERS lined up outside Lowe's. Not because it's Black Friday, but because it's BROWN Friday.

The day after Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year for plumbers . . . to the point where some call it Brown Friday . . . and yes, it's for THAT reason. Partially.

There's an increase in sewage, but there's also a lot of strain on pipes everywhere, not just in the bathroom. Other problems include:

1. Kitchen pipes get clogged when people pour grease, turkey drippings, and cooking oil down the drain.

2. Kitchen disposals can get overloaded when people try to put too many food scraps through, not to mention stuff that's bad for disposals, like potato peels, poultry skins, bones, rice, and pasta.

3. Increased stress on pipes due to large gatherings, including extra flushes, showers, dishwashing, and laundry.
