It's official: MORGAN WALLEN will NOT be allowed to attend the CMAs. A spokesperson told the "L.A. Times", quote, "The decision was the man [is] not allowed, but the music and the people who were part of it [are].
"This is the first time in CMA history, to my knowledge, anyone has ever been disqualified for conduct. Honoring him as an individual this year is not right, and he won't be allowed on the red carpet, on our stage, or be celebrated in any way."
We learned earlier this year that his music is eligible, which is how "Dangerous: The Double Album" is nominated for Album of the Year. The CMAs didn't want to cheat others in the creative process, like songwriters, musicians, and producers.
At this point, everyone's wondering if the Grammys will be the next ones to shut him out. His record company says they submitted him in eight Grammy categories. We'll find out on November 23rd when those nominations are announced.
