Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton “had ourselves a time at the skating rink” while filming the retro, 70s-worthy “A Song to Sing” music video that premiered on Friday (August 22).
Lambert and Stapleton teamed up on the heartfelt duet that debuted last month. The two powerhouse singer-songwriters penned the collaboration — which tells “the truth of giving one’s soul to the music and heart to the one at home” — with Jesse Frasure and Jenee Fleenor. Lambert shared at the time that “Chris understands the emotion of this song from the inside out, because he and Morgane [Stapleton’s wife] have both lived it. To have someone so soulful and willing to go into the heart of the feelings, to share the pull of the road and creative life — and what that means when you love someone with every bit of your being is next level. When we finished it, we both knew we wanted to release it, to share it with everyone.”
“You are a part of me/ Baby you’re the heart of me/ Together we can write a song to sing/ And in that melody/ Baby you’re the harmony/ That you just can’t find anywhere”
The “A Song to Sing” music video arrives as Lambert recently shared that she will be inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame on February 21, 2026. Lambert said it’s “a huge honor…especially alongside my hero [George Strait] and legends Don Cook and [Keith Gattis]. My dad was my first co-writer. He taught me how to play guitar and is a huge part of the reason for my love of country music. I’m grateful for what music and songwriting has done in my life.”
