Cage The Elephant Take Home Best Rock Album At 2017 Grammy Awards

spotlight logo FINALCage The Elephant have won Best Rock Album for Tell Me I'm Pretty, the group's fourth album, at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. Other bands in the competitive category include Blink-182 for California, Gojira for Magma, Panic! At the Disco for Death of a Bachelor and Weezer for Weezer.

The album was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and his southern blues/rock influence can be heard throughout the project. The group gave props to Chance The Rapper during their acceptance speech, with guitarist Brad Shultz saying, “I’m just like Chance, I’m shaking right now,” before thanking their family. 

This the first time the band has won a Grammy but were nominated for Best Alternative Music Album for Melophobia at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
