If you sell a million copies of a song, you've gone platinum and you're on top of the world.
But what happens if you sell 10 MILLION copies of a song? Well, that would get you a DIAMOND certification by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Only EIGHT country songs have ever received such an honor. And all of these songs were made in the last 15 years. Here they are:
1. "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line: This song was released in August of 2012, And in April of 2016, it was the first country song to be certified diamond.
2. "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus
3. "Body Like a Backroad" by Sam Hunt
4. "Heaven" by Kane Brown
5. "Beautiful Crazy" by Luke Combs
6. "Wagon Wheel" by Darius Rucker
7. "Need You Now" by Lady A
8. "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton
Fun Fact: Only 138 songs have ever been certified diamond. And one of them is "Baby Shark".
