Miranda Lambert turned 40 this month, and she's already a prolific songwriter, even if you just look at the ones she DIDN'T record herself.
"Billboard" ranked the best songs she co-wrote for other country artists, and gave the top spot to one that just came out this month. Can you name the song? Here's the list:
1. "What Am I Gonna Do?" by Chris Stapleton. She and Chris wrote it years ago. It's the first track on his new album "Higher".
2. "Thought You Should Know" by Morgan Wallen. It was her first #1 hit as a songwriter.
3. "I'm Good at Leavin'" by Ashley Monroe. They wrote it on the road together. It was on Ashley's 2015 album, "The Blade".
4. "My Only Child" by The Highwomen. That's Maren Morris and Brandi Carlile's supergroup.
5. "The Lost" by Jelly Roll. It's on his newest album, "Whitsitt Chapel". She also sings on that one.
6. "We Ain't Good at Breaking Up" by Brothers Osborne. It's on their latest album that came out back in September.
7. "Outrunnin' Your Memory" by Luke Combs. They didn't plan to make it a duet, but she ended up singing on it with him.
8. "Falling Apart" by Parker McCollum. From his 2021 album, "Gold Chain Cowboy".
9. "Suffocating" by Blake Shelton. She wrote it with Hillary Scott from Lady A. Blake released it in 2010, about a year before he and Miranda got married.
10. "Don't Blame It on Whiskey" by Jon Pardi, featuring Lauren Alaina. Miranda wrote it with Eric Church for his 2011 album, "Chief", but it didn't make the cut. Jon and Lauren eventually released it in 2019.
