If I told you Carly Pearce recently revealed how she got out of a speeding ticket . . . you might think it's because she's famous. But this happened when she was a teenager. There IS a country connection, though.

She told CMT, quote, "When I was 17 years old I was going to get my grandpa dinner, and I was driving a red Ford Ranger truck. That was my first car. I'm from Kentucky, I love bluegrass music, and my license plate was B-grass.

"And this cop couldn't believe that a young girl liked bluegrass music, so I got out of that ticket."

Here's the clip. Don't miss the pic of her in the truck at 0:05.

Here's another great Carly Pearce story. This happened Monday during her show at the Appalachian Fair in Tennessee. She brought a little girl named Paisley up to the stage to help her sing "What He Didn't Do".

Paisley recorded a CD of herself singing, and got a copy to Carly's team. Carly loved it, and said it brought back memories of her doing the same thing. Quote, "She reminds me of that child-like faith of having a dream and wanting to sing."
