Some Banks Are Holding The Stimulus Payments Until Wednesday

If you aren’t seeing your stimulus money in your bank account there could be a reason.

Chase and Wells Fargo customers won't be getting their 14-hundred dollar coronavirus stimulus payments until Wednesday at the earliest. The two banks say they won't process the direct payments until then.

Wells Fargo said in a statement that March 17th is the official payment date provided by the IRS. Chase said it expects "most of the electronic payments to be available as soon as Wednesday."

Many traditional and online banks released the money immediately, so Chase and especially Wells Fargo are seeing some pushback.
