Carrie Underwood added a few rock covers into her set list when she took the stage at Velocity Festival over the weekend.

Underwood, 43, became the first female artist in history to headline a show at the Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville, Iowa. The Grammy-winning country artist took the stage on Saturday night (September 5). Underwood delivered renditions of some of her biggest career-spanning hits, plus a few surprise covers of rock anthems by Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Papa Roach and Collective Soul. Fan-recorded videos have circulated on social media since Underwood took the stage.

The “Before He Cheats” hitmaker hinted at a few unexpected songs in her set list in an Instagram caption before her performance. Underwood said she “flew in early to the [Velocity Festival] to catch [Shinedown]. Totally worth it and I even got this cool hat! I feel inspired to try some new stuff in our set tomorrow. 😉 Let’s goooo!!”

Underwood has previously expressed her appreciation for rock music on stage. She’s performed covers and collaborations with Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses, Joan Jett, Mötley Crüe, Billy Idol, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. Underwood’s new Sunday Night Football theme song, her 14th consecutive performance, nods to her rock influences. The new SNF opening will premiere on Sunday (September 13).

Underwood shared a glimpse of her Velocity performance on Instagram on Tuesday (September 8), crediting videographer Jeff Johnson. See it here:
