How redneck are y'all, anyway? During a conversation between Ella Langley, Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert for Elle's "Three Generations," Ella told a story about a songwriting session with Miranda that evolved into something else entirely. "We were in the middle of a write and I saw a snake. I tried to get up and catch it," Langley explained. "And Miranda walked outside with a shotgun." Lambert chimed in, saying "We were at the farm, y'all. We were trying to out-redneck each other. That's what we were doing." Before PETA calls in the troops, Ella clarified that no wildlife was hurt during the writing of these songs. "The snake did not get shot at," said Langley. "I scared it off and she was mad at me for that. She's like, 'Dang it, I was right here.'"
